Our handmade wool waistcoats are the perfect extra layer for active children. Gilet-style waistcoats are ideal for changeable weather: practical, comfortable, and designed to keep children warm without restricting movement. This sleeveless jacket slips easily over jumpers, making it a versatile choice for both indoor wear and outdoor play.

Crafted in beautifully soft mustard yellow boiled wool, this handmade wool gilet is fully lined with a vintage-inspired sunflower design cotton fabric for comfort and charm. Details such as the rounded collar, pretty flutter sleeves, a dropped hem for extra warmth over the lower back, and easy to manage wooden button fastenings make this piece as functional as it is stylish.

Each toddler waistcoat is thoughtfully designed to be generous in size, allowing space for layering and ensuring your little one can enjoy it through growth spurts. If in doubt, we recommend sizing up—this piece looks just as sweet slightly oversized and will last longer. The size chart is shown in the photos.

Please allow 2-3 weeks for your wool waistcoat to be carefully made. It can also be created with an alternative lining such as the navy blue floral shown in the last couple of photos. Please contact me to discuss options.

Care Instructions
Boiled wool is naturally breathable, hardwearing, and water-resistant—perfect for everyday wear. It also naturally repels dirt, so most light marks can be brushed away. For a deeper clean, wash gently in cool water with minimal agitation and dry flat to maintain shape and softness.
