Happy Hedgehog Designs was founded by Liz in 2018
As her older children started to leave home she found she had more time & space to be creative again. Making garments in a sustainable way has become more important as the business has grown. Products are designed to be stylish and sustainable with a focus on reducing their environmental impact.
Happy Hedgehog designs strives to create clothing items that are not only good for the person wearing them but also good for the planet.
All our items are handmade with care, being mindful of delicate baby skin & the desire for all children to be able to wear clothes that are comfortable & practical as well as beautiful. Garments often feature adjustable straps or elastic waistbands to ensure a perfect fit while allowing plenty of room to grow so that they can be worn for multiple seasons & passed on to younger siblings or friends too.
Sustainability is at the heart of our work, so we use natural fabrics that are new, vintage or repurposed and designs that can be worn by more than one child.
We want to provide special and treasured garments, created with love and care, to provide both beauty and functionality for the little ones that will wear them.
To avoid wastage most items are made to order within 1-2 weeks. This also means that adjustments to sizing can easily be made if your child doesn’t fit into the standard size charts.
