This handmade padded gilet has been created with care using an upcycled, repurposed duvet. The garments are designed to give new life to pre-loved textiles while making a practical, stylish and eco-friendly piece of children’s outerwear. Lightly quilted with cotton wadding, this bodywarmer provides warmth without bulk, making it the perfect layering piece for active babies and toddlers.

The gilet fastens neatly with sturdy metal poppers at the front and is fully lined in soft cotton for comfort. Its sleeveless design makes it versatile and easy to wear over jumpers or dresses, or underneath a raincoat or winter jacket. This helps to keep children cosy in cooler weather while allowing plenty of movement for play.

Each item is individually and carefully made to order in 2-3 weeks. You can be confident that you will receive a thoughtful, slow fashion garment designed to last and to be passed on. Every gilet is unique thanks to the repurposed textiles used, embracing both style and sustainability.

Machine wash gently at 30 degrees using a mild detergent. Do not tumble dry. Use a warm iron on the reverse side if necessary.
